During your co-op, you will gain experience and exposure to practical engineering applications within the utility industry. Students work alongside experienced engineers and will perform a variety of projects and assignments that have specific instructions and expected results.
Required Education/Experience
Available full time during the Fall 2025 semester (August - December)
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with declared major in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 2.50 GPA
Work Conditions
Combination of office and field work.
Physical Effort
Primarily sitting, with occasional walking and standing.
Electric Reliability: Co-op will utilize historical reliability information to identify distribution system improvements, recommend solutions to prevent future outages, complete designs to implement these improvements, and prepare required reliability reporting. Co-op will learn reliability metric calculations/analytics, system coordination, system construction standards and project management.
